First Building Project // Helping a Church to Finish the Building

Five years ago, Emmanuel Baptist Church purchased property right outside Minsk for a future building. Although our pastor has been deported since then for preaching the Gospel, we still seek to complete our first ever church building. In Belarus, the government prohibits unregistered churches from having their own buildings. Although it could be taken from us at any time, we have stepped out by faith, and the building is already halfway finished. You can see the progress in the video presentation on this site. Letter from pastor Vladimir

At this point so far we've been getting close to finish the roof. It's a huge step for us to have that accomplished. All the work we're doing is with our own strength and abilities that God provides. The next step is to get all the windows and doors purchased and installed. That will require a good sum of money that we're praying God will provide. God is being gracious to us by giving us one of our neighbors next door who allows us to use his electricity and who does not want us to pay him for it. It's another minor project that we're shooting for to accomplish is to get the electricity, water and gas run to the house, which usually takes a prolong bureaucratic process to do that.
With God's help we're praying that He will touch people's hearts to give for His cause.
